Sumanto Chattopadhyay (Gautama Buddha)
Sumanato Chattopadhyay's first role was as a poet-turned-terrorist, the protagonist in the Hindi film "Char Adhyay", based on the Tagore novel. It was described as an "Impressive debut" by India Today magazine. He has subsequently acted in the Hindi film Is "Raat Ki Subah Nahin", the Hindi TV serial "Nam Gum Jayega", the English play "Barefoot in Mumbai" and in numerous TV commercials and music videos. He enjoys working as a presenter and recently compered Bob Dylan's 60th Birthday Celebrations in Mumbai. Sumanto writes on topics ranging from advertising to travel in Indian Express. Man's World and other Indian publications. He also works as creative director at Oblivy & Mather Advertising, Mumbai. Sumanto has an MS in Applied Mathematics from Clemson University, South Carolina and an MBA from McGill University, Canada.Avijit Dutt (King Shuodhodhana) Avijit Dutt was a school teacher at St. Pauls, Darjeeling, before joining Advertising. He later became Creative Director of Lintas Advertising and is a recipient of various awards. He is now a Delhi based communications consultant, Filmmaker and Theatre Worker. Avijit Dutt has acted and directed over 80 plays in English, Bengali and Hindi. As a communicator, he has worked on issues such as Literacy and Child Abuse with UNICEF. He has acted in, produced and published material for cinema and television.

Ilina Dubey (Yashodhara)
First ventured onto stage when she was 7 years old, and has been acting ever since. Learnt classical jazz ballet during the course of performing for 'Jesus Christ Superstar', and discovered an affinity for the medium of dance. At age 21, with a bachelor's degree in Economics behind her, looks forward to an MBA in USA, but maintains that theatre in all its varied forms is a childhood love and will continue to be an everlasting passion.


Santosh Nair (Choreographer & Dancer)
Santosh Nair's journey as a dancer began under the blessings of his father Shri Kalamandalam Padmanabhan in the year 1986 as a Kathakali dancer. He furthered his training at Kathakali Centre for another two years under the able guidance of Guru Shri Sadanan Balakrishnan. The strong urge to explore, feel and create, led him to interpret modern dance in a most innovative and evocative manner.
Performance in International Festival in West German in Modern Dance (1990). Performance in China, North Korea, Mongolia, Indonesia as solo Chhau Dancer (1995).
Several Modern Dance choreographer and Chhau performance in and out of Delhi, under different banners of IIC, Sahitya Kala Parishad, Sangeet Natak Academy and ICCR. A very well received Chhau performance in the "Big World" festival in Brazil (1998). Workshops on techniques of Mayurbhanj Chhau in Brazil and Austria (1998).



Malti Shyam (Choreographer & Dancer)
Malti Shyam has been fascinated by dance from her childhood and decided to devote herself to Kathak. She started learning Kathak at the age of eleven and trained initially with Shrimati Reba Vidyarthi. Later, she came under the tutelage of Padma Vibhushan Pandit Birju Maharaj.
Malti Shyam is a professional dancer, teacher and choreographer. She was awarded the Gold Medal in "Shankar's Music and Dance Competition" in 1979. She has traveled abroad extensively with dance troupes giving solo and group recitals, notably with Pandit Birju Maharaj, Malti choreographed the production "The History of Kathak" for the "Kalakriti Dance Foundation", Singapore.
She participated in Festival of Avignon in France. She has also performed extensively in the rest of Europe, Africa, America and Asia and received tremendous acclaim.


Sudesh (Dancer)
Sudesh Adanna started his career with Delhi's most prestigious performing Arts Institute "Bhartiya Kala Kendra". He learned as well as performed Chhau under Shri Shashidharan Nair. He also worked up in the Ballet group of Shri Ram Bhartiya Kala Kendra. He has performed as well as assisted as the choreographer (Padam) for a lot of music videos. Sudesh has performed in India and abroad.


Raj Kumar Sharma  ( Dancer) Raj Kumar
Sharma is a creative dancer working currently under Guru Shashidharan Nair. An assistant choreographer with the Shri Ram Bharatiya Kala Kendra, he has performed with Sonal Man Singh, Aditi Mangaldas, Khemka Dikrusta... and is a lead dancer in the Shri Ram Bharatiya Kala Kendra's ballet troupe. He has had ten years experience and specialisation in the Mayurbhanj Chhau style.

Pooja Sharma  (Dancer)
She started her training in creative dance in 'Bhoomika'. While working for about 3 years she had performed many times in India & abroad. To have some base in her training she joined Bharatnatyam under Sh. Justin McCharthy and Chhau under Guru Janme Jai Sai Babu. A new dimenstion came to her dance as a learner & performer when she joined the professional troupe, SADHYA - A unit of performing arts. She also does freelance work.
