an M.A. in History from Delhi University and then was deeply involved
in teaching mentally challenged kids in the U.S. and in Delhi. In 1987
she set up Kids World with her cousin Bubbles Sabharwal, pioneering youth
theatre in India. (A festival of Kids World's three superhits is scheduled
for November and December of the year 2005 in Delhi and Mumbai). In 1999
she coproduced "Othello", playing the role of Desdemona, which went on
to win the Edinburgh Fringe First. In 2002 she produced and directed "The
life of Gautama Buddha" along with Bubbles, travelling with it to Bodhgaya,
Singapore and USA. Her two solos "Untitled" and Bitter Chocolate", directed
by Arvind Gaur, have completed 200 and 67 shows respectively. They have
been staged at institutions such as the World Bank, the Smithsonian, Berkeley,

Nehru Centre in the UK. All these productions continue to travel…in
cities in India and overseas. Her most recent issue based production is
'Muskaan'.. a journey of two people, both living with H.I.V. The production
is an expression of their experiences.. the truth on H.I.V… that elusive
joy… the moments in it. This production has been conceived and directed
by her, she also plays the role of Chitra in this play.
